The allure of airplanes captivated me from the earliest days of my childhood. I have vivid memories of my uncles taking me to the local airport when I was a little boy. We always parked at our usual spot by the fence, close enough to feel the vibrations of the engines and admire the planes in all their glory. In this picture, you can see the overwhelming happiness drawing the purest smile on my face.
Those airport visits sparked a deep and abiding love for aviation that has only grown stronger over the years. Very few things in life compare to the thrill I feel when I see those beauties, when I hear the almost deafening symphony of engineering and power produced by their engines, and when I smell the addictive scent of high-octane jet fuel in the air. Ahh, I get goosebumps just by writing it!
